The crockpot is one of my all-time favorite kitchen gadgets. It makes everything so easy! What are some of your favorite tools to use in the kitchen? Let me know in the comments below!
Tonight I made some chicken tacos with a homemade avocado cream sauce. The entire recipe was adapted from Well Plated by Erin’s Shredded Chicken Taco recipe. This chicken was juicy, succulent, absolutely delicious! I tend to dry out chicken when I use the crockpot, but not this time!
Paired with the meal is some of Georges DuBoeuf 2017 Beaujolais Nouveau. I love this wine because of how different it is from what I usually drink. It is full of strawberry, blueberry, cotton candy, and herbs. It goes down super smooth.
I would not, however, ever recommend this wine with the chicken. It’s what I had open at the time and I didn’t want to open a new bottle. The chicken has a kick and totally overshadowed the wine. I would, however, totally recommend the wine with the avocado cream sauce! I would totally get a spoon and just eat this on it’s own with the wine!
